Charlie Hartie Creek Trail, also called Charlie Valley, Charlie Hardie South Lake Trail. Moderately trafficked out & back trail located in the “backyard” near Queen Charlotte. Features a river and is rated as moderate. Primarily used for hiking, walking, and running, though mountain bikes have been spotted.
Well marked trailhead located at the top of 6th street, just off 1st Avenue; waypoint 53.2567867, -132.0919175
Initially a narrow path, gently slopes up following creek valley. Lush mosses, ferns and cedar trees. 15 minutes in, trail widens & steepness increases. Look for Scout Lake at terminus.
