How to get here

Air Canada Jazz offers regulACJazzar daily flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Sandspit (YZP). In the summer months two flights per day are available.

Pacific Coastal Airlines provides daily service from Vancouver’s South Terminal (YVR) to Masset (YMT) during the summer and Sunday through Friday in the winter season.

If flying is not for you then how about an adventure on BC Ferries. Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands are accessed by a six hour ferry trip from the port city of Prince Rupert on the mainland coast of British Columbia 2 times a week in the off season, and 5 days a week in the summers. Reservations are required year round and the earlier the better. You can also connect with BC Ferries breathtaking Inside Passage trip to Port Hardy on the north end of Vancouver Island, the Alaska Marine Highway to Ketchikan, Alaska and points north, Via Rail‘s “Skeena” train service to Prince George in the heart of Northern British Columbia and Greyhound Bus Lines.

If you plan to travel with your own boat, harbour facilities are available at Sandspit, Queen Charlotte City and Masset. We recommend that you contact Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve Haida Heritage Site if you plan to access the islands from the south.

However you travel to the islands a little pre planning will make your visit a memorable one. Call or email us  for assistance with your trip planning to Haida Gwaii.
